Both boys did really well in their first try-out session.
After we got home, they each has a bowl of cereal and crashed! I think this is the first time in a very long time that Connor was asleep before Carter!
Connor is on the ice from 8-10 and again at 2:30. Carter is on the ice at 1:30 and 6:00.
First cuts for Connor are tomorrow at 7 pm.
Well Carson now knows that you can dial 9-1-1 from a payphone without putting money in the phone.
Thankfully the female police officer was very nice about it. She laughed because she has a son named Carson, so she has been through this kind of thing before.
He was very upset when I found out about it, go figure.
To be honest, I always thought it would Carter. 🙂
Connor and Carter both have competitive hockey try-outs starting this evening.
Connor is eligible for Sting Minor Peewee AA and A. Carter is eligible for Sting Minor Atom A.

Connor’s team played Cumberland in the B-Side Championship game tonight. Unfortunately, they lost 9-2 (they definitely didn’t play the way they did on Sunday)!

Carter’s soccer team played a friendly game against the other Ottawa Royals U9 Boys team.
Nick started the scoring. The other team came back to score 2.
Nick popped a nice header over the keeper to tie it 2-2. Then Nick put it out front and David finished it off!
They won, 3-2!
Even though Nick scored 2, the whole team played amazingly well! They have really come together and the coaches are very proud that the boys have stuck with the program!
Connor had this first baseball play-off game yesterday against East Nepean.
Connor scored 3 runs, hitting a single a triple and a home run. I think he got 6 RBIs.
They won 15-6!

We had Carter’s Olympic themed birthday party at the cottage yesterday. I think everyone had a good time.
We took most of the pictures with our other camera but here are a few shots!

On a funny note. Adam (one of the kids at the party) walks up to myself and Scott while we are getting lunch ready and asks Scott in a very hushed voice:
“Does Carson have a six pack?”
Scott replies “Yes, he’s pretty well built and very active.”
Adam replies: “WOW!”

Play-offs today for the boys for 4 on 4, and Carson has his end of season soccer tournament.
Carter and Carson both played at 9. Carter’s team lost, so they are out but Carter played well. Carson’s team won their first game. And are 3:27 away from winning their second and final game. The score is 5-1. Carson scored 2 goals and is wearing half of the ice! 🙂
